LAUENER & CIE IS COMMITTED TO BASIC VOCATIONAL TRAINING

We are committed to ensuring a long-term pool of talent with the specialised know-how and expertise for which our region is renowned.

We actively participate in vocational training, hiring one or two apprentices each year and giving them the guidance and support they need to obtain their CFC (Federal Certificate of Capacity) or AFP (Federal Certificate of Vocational Training). We provide training in the following trades:

  •     Production mechanic, option precision-turning (CFC, 3 years)
  •     Mechanical operator, branch precision-turning (AFP, 2 years)

These apprenticeships are carried out as sandwich courses. Candidates for apprenticeships must:

  •     Have finished their compulsory schooling
  •     Show an interest for technical complexity
  •     Have good spatial visualisation and manual skills
  •     Be precise, and tidy and persevering in their work
  •     Enjoy working as a team

Applications should be sent to Mr Rosario Di Gerlando between 1 September and 30 November for apprenticeships starting in August of the following year. Interested persons can contact Mr Di Gerlando at 032 843 43 55.

Active participation in training institutions

In order to ensure a good balance between vocational training and the needs of our industry, we are also active in various regional entities, including the Association des fabricants de décolletage et de taillage (AFDT), the Centre technique et de formation de l'industrie suisse du décolletage et du taillage (CIP-CTDT), and the Centre Neuchâtelois d’Intégration Professionnelle (CNIP).
